Song Meaning of “Kickbackistan” by Thermal And A Quarter
“Kickbackistan” tells the story of a place of corrupt power and unjust systems where honesty and hard work are forgotten. The singer expresses his despair at the failed attempts to bring fair practices and justice to the land. He acknowledges the insidiousness of the injustice and corruption, asking “Should I just lie down and ignore the misery / That suffocates our potential?” and pleading “All hail the white of despair / All hail the brave that resist”.
