Song Meaning of “Bury the Hatchet” by Ghoultown
This song is an ode to the idea of being able to put aside differences, forgive and start anew. Ghoultown is telling us that in order to move forward, we must bury past grievances and hatchets that have been held. They recognize the difficulty in this task, but believe that it is something that should be done in order to have a fresh start. They accept that it may not always be easy, but that in the long run, the peace that follows is always worth it. In order to bring healing, we must bury the hatchet and let go of the pain of the past.
